People with migraines less susceptible to aging brain

People with migraines less susceptible to aging brain
Could it be that there is a benefit for migraine headaches on the brain

Provocative recent study showed that people who get migraines and a long period of time are less susceptible to memory loss or decrease in the perception of those who do not suffer migraines.

Researchers could not explain why the incidence of migraines, but what they found is that the physical changes associated with this headache may protect brain cells from destruction.

The aim of this study to provide solace for 30 million people with migraine in the United States, but is aimed at researchers found that through these findings ways to protect the brain from aging.

The director of the Center for Neurological Disorders at St Luke's Medical Center Bobndra Khatri "The amazing results of this study will stimulate researchers from different parts to conduct more studies on the subject."

Valmntqa people with migraine to be more susceptible to brain disorder, according to Khatri who was not involved in this study.

He says, "In my experience, the people with migraine suffer most from depression, anxiety, and stroke," and adds "I noticed that there is a lack of research on the benefits of the sister on the brain in the long run."

This is the research, published Tuesday in Neurology medical newspaper, the first of its kind to be seen as a long-term effects caused by the sister on the memory and the brain.

And implemented a study on 1,448 people, including 204 people with migraine, where they were given tests of the recognition for 12 years.

Because all participants in the tests were in middle age was expected to be exposed and everyone over 12 years of decline in cognitive processes of the brain but what was unexpected that the degree of decline in people with migraine were less than natural persons.

They remember, for example, 3 words from the words which they were subjected during the test while the ordinary people remember the word and half word.

In a test related to measuring the perception show that those involved in research who have migraines were less susceptible to a lack of understanding of those who do not suffer migraines.

Says Assistant Professor at the University of Wisconsin-Madison Nick Stanik, this study is very useful. "When the injured migraine than 50 years old, begin the process of aging of the brain has less than a normal human."

It is believed Stanik who was not involved in the research that the only explanation for the outcome of the study is that there is something that affects the molecular level of cells in the brain of a person with migraine protect him from aging.

For the director of the National Center for Brain Research Kalidjian Amanda that she had tried out some of her colleagues and the interpretation of the result and although they came out more than one interpretation, however, there are some doubts about it.

It is possible that the grain-killing pain help to maintain nerve cells in the brain, while the other explanation is that people with migraine are changing their lifestyle to eliminate pain through sleep or eat healthy and use some relaxation techniques and taking vitamins that would preserve brain function.

And between researchers in the study as soon as he found the reason will be able to protect the mind from old age, not only for those who suffer from migraine, but for all people.
