What is blood and what are its functions?
Blood tissue fluid applies a complex structure in the entire human body through the blood vessels and heart. Blood volume of approximately 5 liters and 1 of 13 of the body weight of the person.
Blood is made up of yellow liquid: plasma and blood cells multiple functions.
1 - Plasma
Plasma is about 55% of blood volume and consists mainly of water and mineral salts and several organic components such as sugars, proteins and fats.
The protein especially in:
· Algulwblinat that interfere with the immune defense of the body.
· Clotting factors that contribute to stop the bleeding.
· Albumin, which is to maintain fluid retention within the blood vessels.
2 - blood cells
Blood cells constitute about 45% of the volume of blood. They are made and renewed at the level of the bone marrow.

Erythrocyte
Cells of small size, without a nucleus. Lived 120 days. Number of approximately 4,500,000 cubic mm of blood.
Contain hemoglobin, which provides tissue-borne oxygen from the lungs and finesse of carbon dioxide.

Leukocytes
About the number of leukocytes 7000 cubic mm of blood.
And is divided into three categories:
Granulocytes: from 45% to 75% of leukocytes
Lymphocytes: from 20% to 45% of leukocytes
Single: from 2% to 8% of the leukocytes

Leukocytes play an important role in the defense of the body where granulopoiesis and single wall first defense against germs, while lymphocytes involved in immune defense.

Platelet
The number of platelets, about 300,000 cubic mm of blood. Play a key role in stopping the bloodshed. They lock onto the wound and the stopper address the flow of blood.
